The RRB JE CBT-1 exam is the first stage of the selection process. It is a computer-based test conducted to filter candidates for CBT-2. The RRB JE 2019 CBT -1 was held from June 26 to 28, 2019. The CBT test is carried out in several sessions for the same study program and each session will have a different questionnaire. Raw marks obtained by candidates are converted to standard marks to give everyone a level playing field. Plain marks for single-session paper and standard marks for the multiple-session paper were used to calculate the merit index, which is a common benchmark for generating merit for candidates from different test groups.
For multisession documents, appropriate standardization is applied to account for any variations in the difficulty levels of question documents in different sessions.
The calculation of the marks was made up to 5 decimal points.
The merit of the CBT-1 is calculated based on these normalized scores of the candidates.
