Two things drew me to this face wash: the moisturizer and the aloe vera. I started using aloe vera gel a year ago, and now I use aloe vera gel at least twice a day. When I saw a Himalaya Aloe Vera product that claimed to be moisturizing, I couldn’t resist, so here I am with my experience with Himalaya Aloe Vera Moisturizing Face Wash.

It contains cucumber, which absorbs heat and calms the skin, and aloe vera, which tones and nourishes the skin. My Experience with Himalayan Aloe Vera Moisturizing Face Wash

Himalaya Herbals Aloe Vera Hydrating Facial Cleanser has a creamy formula. It is pale green and has a slight aloe scent, which smells slightly artificial. Don’t foam. The packaging tube is similar to other facial cleansers: a semi-transparent plastic tube with printed product details. He has a dark green top cap. Although the lid is made of plastic, it is strong enough and closes tightly, so the product does not spill.

These are the benefits of pure or even purchased aloe vera gel, considering its good quality, cucumber extracts, and vitamin E. But just because your product contains these ingredients does not mean it will provide the same benefits. I used this face wash for a few months. I don’t think those ingredients made a difference, at least in my case.

First of all, I don’t find it hydrating. My face looked very dry after washing and rough to the touch. For an aloe vera and cucumber face wash, you should not strip the skin of its existing oils. There is a feeling of freshness and hydration when applying the product, but that’s about it. By the time you wash it off, it’s gone. After using it, I need to use a day cream, so my skin doesn’t look flaky and stretchy. I noticed my face was drier after washing with this product than before (I’m not kidding).

While writing the review, I used it to see how it performs in cold weather in Qatar compared to the monsoon in Bangalore. I don’t know why I was so stupid, but it only made the usual dryness 5 times worse. I just had to apply a ton of night cream to feel better. Many reviews say it is good for winter skin (which is very dry) etc. But I will not recommend the product to anyone with dry skin. It is more suitable for people with oily and even combination skin. From a normal to dry-skinned person, I’m not a huge fan. Instead, I hate it.

As for the cleansing effect, it does not work better than the next facial cleanser. I’ve used face washes that made me feel rejuvenated and even brighter, but this face wash didn’t make any noticeable difference to my face. The only noticeable difference is that I instantly look dehydrated. It didn’t cause any breakouts on my skin. But my face is rarely prone to breakouts like this, so I’ll add a specific pro to the list.

The product has no foam. I feel like applying a cream mixed with water on my face. I don’t really like facial cleansers that don’t lather. This may be because the product does not contain soap. But sometimes, even soap-free products foam, so I can’t say for sure.

Last word:

It’s not one of my favorites. It is terrible for dry skin, especially in winter. There are good reviews on the products, probably from people with oily skin. It makes no difference to my face other than making my skin drier. I won’t be buying it again, and I don’t recommend it for people with dry skin or in a dry climate.
