Mineral oil itself does not cause rashes. But it can trap dirt and comedogenic ingredients under your skin, leading to breakouts. This cream contains Myristyl Myristate, a comedogenic ingredient that could give you pimples. For me, it’s not, probably because there aren’t too many here anyway.

DENATURED ALCOHOL:

Denat alcohol is one of the most misunderstood ingredients in skincare.
Critics say it’s drying and irritating. They’re right to some extent. Denat alcohol can be problematic when used alone. But pair it with moisturizing ingredients (like glycerin and mineral oil), and you can easily counteract its drying effects.
That said, if you have dry or sensitive skin that doesn’t tolerate Denat alcohol (some skin types don’t like it), Nivea Gentle Moisturizer isn’t for you.
So why is Alcohol Denat here anyway? It thins out the texture, so it’s not too heavy.

My take on Nivea Light Soft Moisturizer

The product is pure white and very soft as well as buttery. It has a characteristic Nivea smell, which is to some extent strong for sensitive noses. As the company said, the texture of the product is extremely light. It can be spread all over the skin without pulling and does not make it oily or sticky. Well, you can see a polished plaster on your face for the next 15-20 minutes of application, but it gradually disappears.

I usually apply it to my cleansed face and neck before bed. Even though my skin is very dry, I only need a small amount. It is absorbed into the skin within minutes and does not need to be massaged thoroughly. My skin becomes perfectly soft, supple, and smooth in the morning. The moisturizing quality of this product is excellent. I used it even during the day, and my skin stayed hydrated most of the day without me applying it again. I also used it for my dry hands and chapped feet on cold winter days, and needless to say, the result was great! This is a wonderful night cream that is affordable and lives up to its claims.

Texture
It is lighter than Nivea cream. The soft, not too thick texture is refreshing on the skin and glides on easily. A little goes a long way. Be careful not to apply too much – this product takes a few minutes to penetrate and leaves a light greasy residue.

I have combination skin, and the Nivea Mild Moisturizer didn’t make all areas happy. It hydrated my dry cheeks enough to keep them soft and smooth for hours; I’ll give you that. My oiliest T-zone? There the cream went overboard. It was so hydrating; my greasy patches were shinier than ever. If you are looking for a mattifying cream, this is not it. Another with? It has no antioxidants to fight premature wrinkles. It’s cool if you’re a teenager, but this cream may be too basic for you if you’re approaching your mid-twenties.

Who is it for?
I would recommend this cream only for teenagers scents with dry skin.

Someone else. Especially anyone with oily skin or interested in anti-aging.

Packaging:
The packaging of Nivea Soft Light Moisturizer may look elegant and feminine, but this is the biggest drawback of the product. The cream comes in a white plastic jar with light blue designs instead of the old blue Nivea tin. The side and bottom of the tub contain the necessary information. Once you open the lid of the jar, you can see a silver foil covering the cream.

Now the problem is that I have to dip my fingers in the cream every time I use it, which is unhygienic. This increases the chances of developing infections a hundredfold. I don’t understand why a big brand like Nivea still can’t get away from the bathtub concept! It isn’t very pleasant. Also, I can’t take the tub with me. No, I’m not talking about the size because it already comes in two sizes smaller. The lack of silver foil and the consistency of the cream make it a complete mess if the tub overturns during travel. I didn’t expect that!

If the tub or pot is devoid of air, the components of the moisturizer easily break down. Also, if it is transparent or translucent, exposure to daylight greatly decreases the effectiveness of the ingredients. Therefore, always choose tube packaging over jar packaging, as this reduces the risk of contamination and spoilage of ingredients.
