Lotus Professional PhytoRx Whitening & Brightening Cream Product Review

My post today is about the Lotus Professional Phyto-Rx Brightening and Whitening Day Cream. The phyto-RX whitening and brightening range is free of artificial colors, fragrances, and preservatives and contains the greatness of amla berry, lychee, and punarnava root. Let’s talk more about the product.

Price: INR 451 for 50g
Shelf life: 3 years

Product Description
A revolutionary TRI-Action formula based on Amlaberry, Lychee, and Punarnava root extracts. By regulating melanin production, natural AHA derived from lychee extracts works synergistically with Vitamin C (Amla Berry) to create amazingly soft skin and a flawless porcelain complexion. Make skin visibly clearer by reducing dark spots, pigmentation, and uneven skin tone. Punarnava root extracts promote a clearer and more even complexion on the skin. A powerful sun protection system is a skin barrier against harmful UV rays. Skin appears whiter, brighter, and more translucent in just seven days.

How to apply:

  • Cleanse your face and pat it dry. Now I apply the serum before this night cream.
  • Dip your fingers in the tub. Dot the cream all over your face.
  • Now lightly blend the cream all over your face. Let it sit for some time, at least 5-7 minutes.

Packaging:

The day cream comes in a translucent glass jar with a gray plastic screw cap. The bathtub is quite heavy and not suitable for travel at all. It also has an inner protective cap to control leaks. The jar is packed in a simple cardboard box with a logo, instructions, ingredients, etc.

Ingredients:

D.M. Water, Almond Oil, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Glyceryl Monohydroxystearate, Triticum Vulgare (Wheat Germ) Oil, Light Liquid Paraffin, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Stearic Acid, Cetostearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Alcohol, Propylene Glycol, Titanium Dioxide, Lychee Extract (Litchi chinensis), Amla (Emblica Officinalis), Punarnava Root Extract (Boerhaavia diffusa), Glycerin, Caprylyl Glycol, Caprylhydroxamic Acid, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E Oil), Essential Oil Blend

Key Ingredients:

Almond oil:

  • Treat dry skin.

Vulgare Oil (Wheat Germ): Used topically, wheat germ oil works to protect and moisturize the skin while softening and promoting suppleness. The oil has anti-aging properties that allow the skin to reduce signs of aging, such as wrinkles. The oil contains many emollient properties that help soothe dry skin.

Stearic Acid: Softens and smoothes the skin’s surface while helping maintain the skin barrier. It also functions as a surfactant, although it is often used as an emulsifier to thicken products and improve their texture.

Litchi:

  • Protects the skin from the sun’s rays.
  • Gives even skin.
  • Delays skin aging.
  • Reduces inflammation.
  • To treat sunburn.
  • For healthy, even skin.

Amla: The high amounts of collagen in the skin help firm the skin and give it a smooth appearance. Regular consumption of amla juice increases vitamin C levels and helps increase collagen production in the skin. It will make your skin smooth and youthful.

Punarnava Root Extract: Promotes a clearer, more even complexion

Texture and fragrance: This cream is a little more diluted than other day creams. It is white and has a soft, light texture and a pleasant aroma.

My Experience with Lotus Professional PhytoRx Whitening & Brightening Cream

After cleansing and toning, I take a generous amount of product and apply it to the spots, then massage the cream with light hands. This cream is very soft and absorbs quickly, providing good hydration with a bit of a dewy glow to my skin. It is very light and does not add oil, but it can make the skin feel a little greasy if you have oily skin.

I don’t get any miraculous results about the whitening and brightening claims, but Lotus professional day cream will reduce dullness and make skin more radiant.

L’Oreal Paris Revitalift Crystal Micro-Essence Product Review

Hi there!! Here I am with another product review. I have been using L’Oreal Paris Crystal Micro-essence for three months, and I think it is a good time to review it. So, I got my hands on this product, thanks to my acne-prone combination skin, which behaves abnormally due to the change in weather and the stress of moving to another city. I always wanted to include an essence in my skincare routine that was light and not too heavy on my pocket. I was quite skeptical when I saw this product because it contains alcohol as the third ingredient. Many brands have used alcohol in skin care for better absorption of the product so that it does not stick to the skin. There are different types of alcohol that are suitable for different skin types. L’Oréal did not mention the type used in this product.

Different types of alcohol for different skin types.

  • Oily skin: ethyl alcohol.
  • Dry skin: higher molecular weight alcohol that provides a moisturizing sensation like cetyl and stearyl.
  • Sensitive skin: People with sensitive skin should avoid alcohol, as it can irritate the skin. Do a patch test before applying any alcohol-based product to the skin.

But I decided to try it anyway because it contains salicylic acid, a beta-hydroxy acid (BHA), and my skin needed it then. It also contains Centella Asiatica, which has soothing properties for irritated skin.

What does the product say?

The skin is durably hydrated, smoother, and more radiant.

Active Ingredients-

Salicylic Acid: Salicylic acid works to treat acne by unclogging clogged pores. It does this by breaking the bonds between dead skin cells so they can be released more easily from pores and by breaking down oils such as sebum. Salicylic acid also decreases the sebum production of the skin, which reduces breakouts.

Asian Spark-

  • Fights and reduces inflammation.
  • Accelerates wound healing and recovery.
  • Improves circulation.
  • Increase collagen.
  • Hydrate.
  • Increase in skin resistance.
  • Antioxidant stimulating effects.
  • Antibacterial properties.

Complete Ingredient List–

Aqua, Butylene Glycol, Hydroethylpiperazine Alcohol, Ethanesulfonic Acid, Propanediol, Ppg-6-Decyltetradeceth-30, Caprylyl Glycol, Salicylic Acid Sodium Hydroxide, P-Anisic Acid, Adenosine, Capryloyl Salicylic Acid, Acetyl Trifluoromethylphenyl Valiglycine Disodium EDTA, Fragrance /madecassoside perfume, benzyl salicylate, limonene, linalool, benzyl alcohol, pentylene glycol, faux extract/yeast extract, tocopherol.

The product is available in sizes 22 ml, 65 ml, and 130 ml.

I LOVE it when brands are sensitive enough to trial size the product for the consumer to try first.

Price-

  • 22ml – INR 209
  • 65ml – INR 519
  • 130ml – INR 979

I decided to buy the smaller one first to see how my skin reacts.

How to use it?

After cleansing and toning the face, pour 3-4 drops into the palm of your hand and pat gently on the face.

My Experience with L’Oreal Paris Revitalift Crystal Micro-Essence

First, let me comment on the packaging. It comes in a sturdy, clear glass bottle that lets you know how much product is left. Plus, you can easily control the amount of product for your skincare routine. I love when you don’t have to dip your fingers in the product and can control the drips as it’s very hygienic and eliminates waste.

The product is a clear water-like liquid that has a pleasant smell. My skin doesn’t react to perfume like that; I have nothing to say about that. I use this essence daily, morning and night, and follow it up with my serum and moisturizer. When I wear it during the day, I always apply sunscreen. My skin reacted very well to this product, but some people may be irritated due to the high alcohol content. It’s not heavy on my skin, it helps control oil in my T-zone, and my skin feels noticeably fresher. It has never irritated my skin or made it dry as I have oilier combination skin. Since I started using this product, I have noticed fewer breakouts, and it does not feel sticky after application. Beauties with dry and sensitive skin should do a patch test and buy the smaller version first, as we don’t know what kind of alcohol it contains or whether it will suit your skin.

No products found.

Advantages:

  • Over time, the skin’s original glow gradually fades, leaving dull, rough skin with more visible fine lines and wrinkles.
  • Contains salicylic acid derivatives to help control excess oil and minimize pores while gently exfoliating dead skin cells to reveal brighter, more refined skin with minimized pores.

L’oreal Paris Revitalift Crystal Micro Essence Side Effects:

  • The alcohol present in this essence can cause itching and dryness on dry/sensitive skin.
  • Salicylic acid can irritate sensitive skin, although my sensitive skin is fine with it.
  • Note: I do not use this in conjunction with vitamin C or glycolic acid.

Difference between ‘Revitalift Crystal Micro Essence’ and ‘Revitalift Micro Essence’

There are three main differences based on their,

  1. Benefits: Revitalift Crystal Micro-Essence delivers smoother, brighter, and more radiant skin, while Revitalift Micro-Essence primarily focuses on improving skin elasticity, fine lines, and wrinkles.
  2. Texture: The crystal version has a lighter consistency, while the revitalift micro-essence has a richer texture.
  3. Penetration capacity: Crystal Revitalift Essence can penetrate up to 10 layers of skin because the molecules are very small.

Perks:

  • It is easily absorbed.
  • Contains good active ingredients such as salicylic acid and Centella Asiatica.
  • A small product goes a long way.
  • Travel friendly.
  • It exists in 3 sizes.
  • Correct prices.
  • Check the oil.
  • I had fewer pimples after using it.
  • It didn’t irritate my skin.

The inconvenience:

Alcohol ranks very high on the ingredient list.

People Also Ask:

Is Loreal Crystal Micro Essence A Toner?

When I read the international blogs, they said that the texture of this essence is thicker than water and more like a serum. BUT, the one available in India is quite watery, like a toner.

Can I Use Crystal Micro Essence As A Moisturiser?

It might work as a moisturizer for normal/oily skin, but you should follow up with a broad-spectrum sunscreen. This essence is quite watery, so it is unsuitable as a standalone moisturizer for dry/mature skin.

What does LOreal Revitalift crystal micro essence do?

LOreal Paris Revitalift Crystal Micro-Essence helps smooth the skin and make it glow. It has advanced technology that reaches up to 10 layers deep. Its refining drops with actives like Centella Asiatica prepare the skin for better hydration, greater smoothness, and a more luminous glow.

Is LOreal crystal micro essence harmful to skin?

The alcohol present in this essence can cause itching and dryness on dry/sensitive skin. Salicylic acid can irritate sensitive skin, although my sensitive skin is fine with it.

How do you use LOreal Paris Revitalift crystal micro essence?

  1. Pour 8 to 10 drops on a cotton pad and gently wipe over the face.
  2. Use morning and night after cleanser and before moisturizer.

Is LOreal crystal micro essence a serum?

DERMATOLOGICALLY TESTED – L’Oréal Essence is dermatologically tested and is a facial serum suitable for acne-prone, oily, dry, and combination skin. GET QUICK AND VISIBLE RESULTS: Achieve crystal-clear skin with minimized pores and refined skin texture.

Minimalist 2% Salicylic Acid Serum Product Review

Salicylic acid is a beta hydroxy acid or BHA, an exfoliating ingredient. Today, chemical peels are very popular among skin care products, which is why many brands offer different exfoliating products such as serums, peels, and facial cleansers for different skin problems. Salicylic acid is keratolytic, which helps dissolve keratin plugs and debris that collect in pores and cause black and whiteheads. Also known as a non-inflammatory form of acne.

Due to the exfoliating nature of BHA, it keeps skin clean and removes skin texture. Salicylic acid is a boon for oily skin as it helps control sebum production. In the pathogenesis of acne formation, oil, dirt, and bacteria lead to the clogging of pores, and if not treated at the right time, they can lead to inflammatory acne in the form of pimples and lumps.

The anti-inflammatory action of this acid helps reduce redness and swelling in the affected area. Normally, 2% salicylic acid is a powerful percentage to work effectively on the skin. In today’s article, I will share my review of the Minimalist 2% Salicylic Acid Serum.

What does the product say?

DESCRIPTION OF MINIMALIST SALICYLIC ACID SERUM

Our salicylic acid easily penetrates the lining of pores. It removes dirt, debris, and oil (clinically proven to work better than traditional oil-based salicylic acid), leaving skin looking clear and smooth as that of a baby.
Lightweight, fast-absorbing formula made with aloe vera juice instead of water found in other serums to soothe irritation commonly associated with exfoliation
Merck, Germany, a global organic chemistry company, supplied the RonaCare Salicylic Acid Extra Pure.

Ingredients- (from website)

Aloe vera juice, dimethyl isosorbide, propylene glycol, salicylic acid, propanediol, ethoxydiglycol, phenoxyethanol, pullulan, ethylhexylglycerin, hydroxyethylcellulose, xanthan gum, sclerotium gum, sodium hydroxide, trisodium ethylenediamine succinate, lecithin.

Key Ingredients:

Aloe vera juice:

  • Its anti-inflammatory properties can reduce pain, swelling, and soreness caused by injury or injury.
  • Supports the production and release of collagen.
  • It can speed healing time and limit scarring.
  • Reduces healing time for first and second-degree burns.

Salicylic: works by unblocking clogged pores to treat acne. It does this by breaking the bonds between dead skin cells so they can be released more easily from pores and by breaking down oils such as sebum. Salicylic acid also decreases the skin’s oil production, which reduces breakouts.

Pullulan:  is considered an ingredient in cosmetics and beauty products, especially anti-aging products, due to its ability to provide an instant tightening effect when it adheres to the skin. It can quickly form a transparent film that temporarily improves the texture and appearance of the skin.

Sclerotium Gum: is a versatile ingredient that improves the texture of cosmetic products. It is a gel-like thickening agent. It also acts as a natural moisturizer and softens the skin.

Lecithin: “makes a product more hydrating and penetrates the upper layers of the skin.” As a moisturizing agent, lecithin has emollient properties, which means it replenishes the skin by filling in the gaps in its natural moisture barrier (thanks to its high lipid and fatty acid content).

Price: 521 INR

Quantity: 30ml

Shelf life: 6 months after opening

Packaging: It used to come in a clear glass dropper bottle, but the packaging has now been changed to a black tinted glass bottle.

Texture: The serum’s texture is dense and penetrates the skin in minutes, giving it a matte look. Does not leave a sticky feeling on the skin.

How to use it?

  1. After cleansing your face, apply 3-4 drops of this serum all over your face and neck and let it absorb. Follow with a moisturizer.
  2. Any chemical exfoliant should preferably be applied in the evening to avoid sun damage. When using acid in skin care, the skin becomes sensitive to UV rays. Therefore, proper protection and the use of sunscreen are a must.
  3. I prefer to apply salicylic acid serum as a spot treatment. If you prefer to apply it all over your face, I recommend it only 2-3 times a week to avoid over-exfoliation of the skin.

My experience with Minimalist 2% Salicylic Acid Serum

I’m a big fan of salicylic acid in skincare. It has always worked great for me when used as a spot treatment. When using certain salicylic acid serums in the past, I have had breakouts if applied to non-problem areas. With this serum, I decided to try it all over my face. The first ingredient in the serum is aloe vera juice which acts as a humectant to retain moisture in the skin. The serum is also formulated without artificial fragrances, silicones, essential oils, etc.

Chemical exfoliation plays a vital role in skin care as it helps prepare the skin for the next steps and allows it to absorb various skin care products to work properly and effectively. After cleansing and toning my skin, I take 3-4 drops using the dropper provided in the package and apply it gently to my skin, then follow with my regular moisturizer. To my surprise, while using this product as a face serum, I did not experience any irritation or breakouts. The product gives a matte feel which I like.

I apply the serum 2-3 times a week to give my skin a clear look and keep acne at bay. This serum did not cause any irritation or rash while using it. Remember to apply a good broad-spectrum sunscreen during the day to prevent any pigmentation on your skin. Overall I’m very happy with how it worked on my skin.

People Also Ask:

Is minimalist 2% salicylic acid good for acne?

It is a powerful exfoliator for oily, acne-prone skin. CLEANSE AND TIGHTEN PORE: 2% BHA helps clean pores by removing oil and dirt, minimizing pore size. Regular use reduces black and whiteheads and prevents future blackheads from producing clear skin.

Does minimalist salicylic acid work?

Salicylic acid worked amazingly on pimples. It also controls excess oil, which is why my skin felt slightly dry after 10 days of use. That’s when I decided to reduce the frequency to 2 times a week or just on weekends. I also focused on moisturizing as salicylic acid tends to dry out the skin.

Can minimalist salicylic acid serum be used everyday?

Although it is a mild acid, salicylic acid should only be used once daily. You can use it in the morning or at night, but it’s best to include salicylic acid in your evening skincare routine. This is because salicylic acid sloughs off dead surface skin cells to reveal new, younger-looking skin cells.

Can I use 2% salicylic acid serum everyday?

Yes, it is okay to use salicylic acid every day; however, since it can sometimes cause skin irritation, many skin experts and dermatologists suggest using it sparingly. If no symptoms are present, begin three times per week. Of any reaction, you can accumulate use by one.

Does minimalist salicylic acid work on blackheads?

It is a powerful exfoliator for oily, acne-prone skin. CLEANSE AND TIGHTEN PORE: 2% BHA helps clean pores by removing oil and dirt, minimizing pore size. Regular use reduces black and whiteheads and prevents future blackheads from producing clear skin.

Which minimalist serum is best for open pores?

Minimalist 2% Salicylic Acid Serum for Acne, Blackheads & Open Pores | Reduces Excess Oil & Uneven Texture | BHA-based scrub for oily or acne-prone skin.

L’Oreal Revitalift 1.5% Hyaluronic Acid Serum Review: Hey guys, let’s talk about the supposedly #1 skin serum in the United States of America. First, I want to take a moment here and thank drugstore brands for finally introducing more affordable ingredient-focused products. Gone are the days of making thousands of claims about how an XYZ product would make your skin as smooth as a baby’s bottom, but when you look at the ingredients, it’s full of chemicals you don’t. I’ve never heard of it.

I always look for products with one or maybe two ingredients rather than those with an indefinite mixture of many ingredients. Because with one or two heroic ingredients, I know what to expect and can specifically target my issues. When used correctly, this particular ingredient, hyaluronic acid, works great for dry skin (although it can be used on almost any skin type). So I proactively purchased this serum to give my skin an extra moisture boost.

By the way, has anyone seen the TV ad for this serum? The way Aditi Rao Hydari says ACID HA-YA-LU-RO-NIC made me feel uneasy. What did you feel? I’ve also covered the truth behind the #1 ranking and its criteria. If you have any other questions or suggestions or anything else you would like to tell me, please take a moment to comment, and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Colour, Texture, and Fragrance: It is a clear, colorless, and odorless liquid with a slightly viscous consistency.

My Experience with L’Oreal Paris Revitalift Hyaluronic Acid Serum

I started using it after a long break from following a proper skincare routine. My skin wasn’t in its best shape. Blame it on covid times, and I lacked the inspiration to take care of my skin. I have combination skin, and it was quite rough and lacked shine. I began utilizing this serum in my evening regimen. Immediately after cleansing on damp skin, I take 3 drops of the serum in the palm of my hand and gently apply it all over my face. Although I’ve heard people say the serum is non-sticky and lightweight, on my skin, it felt a little tacky and tacky when applying it. If not followed by another product, it settles to a drying end within seconds. So I quickly apply a moisturizer to fix the serum. The serum alone does not feel comfortable on the skin. But with diaper products, everything is fine. I’ve never used concentrated hyaluronic acid serums like this before but based on my research; I think it’s a common trait of hyaluronic acid to have a slimy, sticky texture. It took me a little while to get used to the feel of my skin. It’s a little heavy on my skin for daytime use. Keep in mind that I live in a hot and humid place.

Either way, the serum does what it claims to do. Regenerates and hydrates the skin. My skin feels soft when I wake up. Within two days, it tackled the roughness of my skin, and I was all smooth and full of vitality. It’s supposed to be good for anti-aging, and yes, it plumps up and gives the skin a healthy look. However, unless you have dehydrated or rough skin, I don’t think you’ll notice much difference with this product. If you already have a pretty solid skincare routine and great skin, you won’t benefit much from this serum.

Pros of L’Oreal Paris Revitalift Hyaluronic Acid Serum:

  • L’Oreal Paris Revitalift Hyaluronic Acid Serum has the highest concentration of hyaluronic acid to hydrate skin layers for plump, youthful-looking skin deeply.
  • Known to retain up to 1,000 times its weight in water, L’Oréal Hyaluronic Acid Serum hydrates and enhances skin’s natural glow.
  • 2 types of hyaluronic acid power it. MICRO: so small that it penetrates deeper into the skin’s epidermis to plump the skin from within. MACRO: bigger to hydrate, protect and smooth the skin’s surface.
  • L’Oréal Hyaluronic Acid Serum delivers immediate results by making skin more supple and smooth.
  • Within a week of use, it makes your skin plumper and younger.

L’Oreal Paris Revitalift Hyaluronic Acid Serum Side Effects:

One good thing about this serum is that it never broke out or caused me any irritation. All skin types, including sensitive skin, can use it unless they are delicate to hyaluronic acid and prone to fungal acne.

I don’t think it’s an ultralight product. I used much lighter products. Sometimes I felt like the serum wouldn’t let my skin breathe, and it sat on the skin. So I didn’t like the feel of her skin on me, although the results were good. Every day I would opt for my Klairs Toner for instant hydration and a weightless feeling.

The L’Oreal serum is also priced a bit high for the quantity offered. Many affordable hyaluronic acid serums on the market contain better ingredients and are known to work better.

Advantage:

  • Contains 1.5% pure hyaluronic acid.
  • Fragrance, dye, parabens, and alcohol-free.
  • Hydrates and plumps the skin.
  • Reduces roughness and smoothes the skin.
  • Classy packaging.

The inconvenience:

  • Expensive for a hyaluronic acid serum.
  • It’s not super light like I thought.

How good is L Oreal Revitalift serum?

Regenerates and hydrates the skin. When I wake up, my skin is gentle. Within two days, it tackled the roughness of my skin, and I was all smooth and full of vitality. It is supposed to be good for anti-aging, and yes, it plumps up and makes the skin look healthy.

Is Loreal Revitalift a good product?

I like Loreal Revitalift products. They have a pleasant light scent, and more than that, THEY WORK! I was starting to get loose skin on my neck and chest. I started using this product every other day, and within two weeks, my skin felt firmer and smoother.

Minimalist 10% Niacinamide Face Serum Product Review

About the brand
Minimalist skincare is an Indian brand that relies entirely on chemical skincare formulas. The brand faced a harsh backlash from beauty bloggers and the public due to their idea of copying “The Ordinary” brand formula and packaging. Still, we’ll give an honest review keeping that controversy aside. This review is based on the results we saw after 8 weeks of continuous application of Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Serum. However, the brand is pretty transparent with the source and ingredient list, which is a good thing.

Odor: chemical

Other essential information: Fragrance-free, paraben-free, silicone-free, oil-free.

Ingredients:

Aloe vera juice, niacinamide, dimethyl isosorbide, propanediol, ethoxydiglycol, zinc, PCA, phenoxyethanol, ethyloxyglycerin, hydroxyethylcellulose, pullulan, xanthan gum, sclerotium gum, lecithin.

About the ingredients:

1. Aloe Vera Juice
Aloe vera juice is very beneficial for the skin. Helps soothe irritated and acne-prone skin. It also helps treat burns and wounds on skin or skin damaged by UV rays. Since the first ingredient is aloe vera juice, it tells us that this serum is aloe-based, so we suggest that people with aloe allergies do not try this particular serum.

2. Niacinamide
Niacinamide is one of the most widely used ingredients in skincare due to its extensive benefits. It is good for reducing swelling and redness on the face. Niacinamide also helps tighten pores and brighten skin. You must include a niacinamide serum in your skin care regimen to witness miraculous results on your skin.

3. Dimethylisosorbide
Dimethyl isosorbide is a solvent used to stabilize active ingredients. It is used in this serum to stabilize the niacinamide so that the product can work effectively on the skin. However, dimethyl isosorbide or DMI is derived from corn sugar and is 100% safe to use.

4. Propanediol
Propanediol serves several functions in a skincare product. It can be used as a solvent, moisturizer, or emollient. Studies show propanediol is good for the skin and can leave it clear, clean, and smooth. Some studies also suggest propanediol is better than Propylene Glycol, commonly used in skin care products.

5. Ethoxydiglycol
Ethoxydiglycol is a humectant and helps moisturize the skin. Helps prevent water loss from the skin, leaving the skin looking hydrated and fresh. The Cosmetic Ingredient Review (CIR) Expert Committee has concluded that ethoxydiglycol is safe to use.

6. Zinc PCA
Zinc PCA or pyrrolidone carboxylic acid is different from zinc. It is quite effective on the skin as it helps treat rashes and pimples. It also helps reduce skin redness. You should use PCA zinc products if you have acne, pimples, or irritated skin.

7. Phenoxyethanol
Phenoxyethanol is used as an antibacterial ingredient in cosmetic products. But, studies suggest that this chemical is not so good for your skin, especially if you are breastfeeding. Studies show that this chemical can react badly if absorbed through the skin. We do not suggest breastfeeding women use this serum.

8. Ethylhexylglycerin
Ethylhexylglycerin is used as a moisturizer and emollient to stabilize the other ingredients. This acts as an antibacterial ingredient and helps prevent the product from spoiling.

9. Hydroxyethylcellulose
It is a binding ingredient that helps to bind the ingredients of a product, which increases its performance. This is 100% safe to use and can be used by everyone.

10. Pullulan
Pullulan is a natural ingredient that helps define the texture of a product. It makes the product thick so that the product can moisturize the skin well.

11. Xanthan Gum
Xanthan gum is very hydrating for the skin. It has no side effects on the skin and can be used by everyone. It is 100% safe and is used in most cosmetic or skin care products.

12. Sclerotia Gum
Sclerotium Gum acts as a thickening agent and helps improve product texture. It has a gelatinous consistency that helps moisturize the skin. It also helps to make the skin smooth and supple.

13. Lecithin
Lecithin is a penetration enhancer that ultimately helps penetrate deeper into the product so we can see the best results.

How to use it?

  1. Wash your face with a mild, gentle cleanser or any other cleanser you use regularly.
  2. Take 3-4 drops of Niacinamide Zinc Minimalist Skin Care Serum and apply to the face.
  3. Gently massage the product with upward strokes.
  4. Apply your moisturizer and sunscreen.
  5. Don’t forget your sunscreen every day.
  6. Use it both in the morning and at night for the best results.

Packaging: We’re not so happy with the packaging because Minimalist copied the exact packaging idea from “The Ordinary” brand. We expect the brand to come up with creative packaging ideas to get the floor moving. However, speaking of the actual packaging, the Minimalist Zinc Niacinamide Serum comes in a frosted glass bottle. The quality of the dropper and the bottle is very good. The order comes in a black minimalist box, and inside it has paper decorations that make the packaging so amazing. We would rate the packaging 5/10 as copied; the 5 points are for the box packaging they provide to their customers, which is so delicious.

My Experience with Minimalist 10% Niacinamide Face Serum

So let me start with why I decided to buy a 10% Niacinamide serum in the first place. I have already done a lot of research on the benefits of niacinamide and its various compounds. You can refer to my article here for more details. Niacinamide is excellent for improving skin texture and clearing blemishes and acne marks. I recently had ‘mask-new due to double masking in the summer and in India. Although the acne cleared up quickly, it left behind dark spots, and I decided to try this niacinamide serum. I have been trying this serum for the past 3 weeks, and let me tell you, my skin was so much clearer and brighter a week after using this product. I used it in the morning after cleansing and applying Laneige Skin Refining Cream. It’s not a thick serum, and it absorbs pretty quickly. I take 4-5 drops in the palm of my hand using the dropper and then blend them all over my face. I wait about 10 minutes, then apply sunscreen. I repeated the same routine at night. Instead of sunscreen, I used a light moisturizer for the night.

Now let’s come to the composition and key ingredients. This product contains 10% niacinamide and 1% zinc (The Ordinary also has an exact similar product). Many research-based articles have mentioned that niacinamide 10% may have adverse effects in people with pre-existing allergies. You can try the 5% version. In general, niacinamide can be used twice daily and is well tolerated on the skin by most people. Another quick tip is never to use niacinamide and vitamin C together. Both are great for skin pigmentation and blemishes but should not be mixed or used one after the other. Zinc is also another great ingredient that works great for clearing up blemishes. If you are not comfortable with Niacinamide 10%, you can also try the 5% version of Minimalist. I plan to do this in the future as I noticed a gray area there. People have mentioned that 10% niacinamide can cause redness and irritation, although I haven’t personally experienced that.
This product does not contain essential oils, fragrances, parabens, sulfates, or silicones. Excellent!

Things to keep in mind

Always use a broad-spectrum sunscreen when using any product with active ingredients. It is suggested to use an SPF 30 or more.

Can we use minimalist Niacinamide serum daily?

Yes, of course. If in doubt, start with the 5% variant and slowly work up to the 10% variant. I’m a sensitive skin person, and I’ve been incorporating Minimalist Serums into my daily skincare routine.

How long does minimalist niacinamide take to work?

ELIMINATES AND PREVENTS ACNE MARKS AND Blemishes: High-quality, pure vitamin B3 (Niacinamide) added to this serum has been clinically shown to reduce acne marks and dark spots in 2 weeks, resulting in a smoother complexion or an even complexion. Niacinamide can be useful for severe acne, especially inflammatory forms like papules and pustules. Over time, you may see fewer lesions and better skin texture.
